On Saturday, Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin displayed one of the most impressive dunks after jumping over the hood of a car to help win the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. While Griffin's dunk was creative, the idea actually came from one of his Twitter followers and now--that fan wants credit for his idea.
Michael Scrivner believes he deserves credit for Griffin's dunk after suggesting the idea for the car to be used during the dunk contest. Here's the message Scrivner sent to Griffin through Twitter back on February 8.
"@blakegriffin Seen you want dunk ideas on ESPN Park a car on the court Jump over the car while the driver throws you oop through the sunroof."
Now, Scrivner is upset with the fact that Griffin won't even give him a shout out and is making national headlines for his messages posted on Twitter. Not only was he recently interviewed by TMZ, but Scrivner was even a topic of discussion on ESPN's Around The Horn.
While there has been no response from Griffin yet on the matter, Scrivner is still enjoying being the topic of discussion in national headlines. Here are a few other messages posted by Scrivner on Twitter (yoscrib) between Monday and Tuesday:
"@blakegriffin Wheres the love on my dunk idea."
"@blakegriffin You know you got that last dunk idea from me! Wheres the love? Check your @ 's February 8th."
"@daveandjimmy Blake Griffin snubbed me All Star weekend. I gave him the idea for his last dunk. My story made TMZ. Im in Cbus hit me up!"
"For the record, Im still a huge Blake Griffin fan."
