UFC 121 weigh-in results. Brock Lesnar 20 pounds heavier than Cain Velasquez

UFC 121 fighters arrived for the weigh-ins just outside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California earlier this afternoon. All fighters made weight. However, the largest weight difference came between UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and the undefeated Cain Velasquez. Brock weighed in at 264 pounds while Cain weighed in at 244 pounds. That gives Brock at least a 20 pound weight advantage. It's more than likely that Brock will add another 5 to 10 pounds before he even steps into the cage.

This weight difference is one of the reasons why I think Brock will defeat Cain Velasquez. For a complete list of UFC 121 predictions, check out my article "UFC 121 preview and predictions: Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez".

2010-2011 Cleveland Cavaliers: Starting Over

The 2010-2011 season might as well be the year 1 AD for the Cleveland Cavaliers- After the Decision. After finishing the past two seasons as the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, the Cavs will have to play extremely well in new head coach Byron Scott's first season to even make the playoffs.

To even make this a possibility, the Cavaliers will have to run a much more structured offense than we've seen from them in the past seven years.Whether it was due to lack of a second dominant scoring option, or unimaginative coaching, far too often we saw the Cavaliers clear out one side of the floor and just let their superstar go to work on his own.

Now that superstar is gone, and so are all the open shots that were created by the defensive attention he drew. Mo Williams will have a harder time spotting up for three. JJ Hickson might not have as many cutting lanes to the basket. The Cavaliers will have to work much harder for each point they score.

Their collection of talent is certainly not the worst in the league. Though he has been around for a while, Antawn Jamison has been a star in this league before, and can score the ball. Anderson Varejao is back to anchor the defense, and even though he provides very little on the offensive end beyond rebounding, his defensive presence will help the Cavs win games. Point guard Ramon Sessions was acquired in an off-season trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and will help run the pick and roll, creating offense for a team lacking players who can create their own shot.

This will most likely turn into an assessment season for the Cavaliers, a survey of what pieces they have and want to build around going forward. In a superstar driven league, Cleveland is back to square one. Until they find another top talent to build around, it's hard to see them challenging for more than a seventh or eighth seed in the East. They will be competitive, but Cavs fans' championship aspirations are gone now, likely for a while.

Eduardo touched by reception from Arsenal fans during Champions League clash

The 27-year-old Croatian forward headed to Ukraine in a £6 million deal during the summer, after finding himself down the Arsenal pecking order following the free transfer signing of Marouane Chamakh.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger found it emotional to see the Brazil-born striker leave, after he fought back to full fitness following an horrific broken leg and dislocated ankle at Birmingham in Feb 2008.

Eduardo had vowed not to celebrate should he get on the scoresheet against his old club - and was true to his word when netting a fine volley with seven minutes left after coming off the bench.

The Arsenal fans, however, created a unique moment of sportsmanship in applauding the goal, which clearly touched the striker, whom Arsenal had signed from Dynamo Zagreb in July 2007 for a reported £7.5m.

"It was unbelievable", Eduardo told Arsenal TV Online. "It was like I still play for Arsenal, when I came back and they started to call my name. It was fantastic.

"It was already 5-0, so that [not celebrating] was normal. But I was here for three years, had some great times with the manager, the players and the supporters, so I must respect this.

"I will continue to watch every Arsenal game on TV when I can.

"Now, though, I am a Shakhtar player and will give all best for them, like I did for Arsenal."

Shakhtar had also won both of their opening Group H games and came to Emirates Stadium on an impressive run of form.

However, the Ukrainians were made to look ordinary by Arsenal, who barely got out of second gear after being set on their way following a terrible fumble by Shakhtar goalkeeper Andrei Pyatov which gifted Alex Song the opening goal after 19 minutes.

"We prepared well before the game, but on the pitch we did not do what we had to do," Eduardo said.

"But that is Arsenal - they are favourites to win against every team which comes here."

Top-ranked grid teams keep rolling

So, this is how it's going to be, huh? This week's high school football poll doesn't have any movement from No. 1 through No. 8. That's how consistent the best teams in the city are.

Starting with St. Anthony's, which routed Chaminade, and with the exception of Lincoln , which had an unexpected week off, each of the top eight teams picked up wins.

It's getting late so we're guessing some changes are coming. But here's how the poll looks entering Week 7:

1. St. Anthony’s (6-0, Last week 1)

The Friars just won’t budge from the top spot. The defending CHSFL champion isn’t even giving us a reason to think about where to place them, fresh off a 28-0 shutout of Chaminade. They’re making it look easy. Too easy.

2. Tottenville (6-0, LW 2)

Tottenville stays on St. Anthony’s heels with a 40-13 thrashing of New Dorp. Pirates RB Gilberto Mendoza rush for 232 yards and two touchdowns.

3. Fort Hamilton (6-0, LW 3)

The Tigers found themselves in a dogfight against Boys & Girls last weekend and they responded pretty well. They led 14-8 at halftime before clinching the 22-16 home victory in the fourth quarter. They say tough victories only build character.

4. Lincoln (6-0, LW 4)

We couldn’t punish Lincoln for having an impromptu bye week after its scheduled opponent, Clinton, had a brawl with Flushing two weeks ago and had to forfeit. The Railsplitters stay put.

5. Iona Prep (5-1, LW 5)

The Gaels seem to be on a mission, seemingly making another statement every weekend. Saturday’s 38-8 beating of St. Joseph by-the-Sea wasn’t any exception.

6. Fordham Prep (5-1, LW 6)

Fordham Prep looked impressive again in a victory over St. Francis Prep but may face a tougher challenge against Mt. St. Michael this weekend.

7. Holy Trinity (5-1, LW 7)

The Titans survived a scare with a 14-13 victory over Holy Cross. Their prize? A showdown with St. Anthony’s on Saturday.

8. Erasmus Hall (5-1, LW 8)

Aside from a hiccup in Week 2 against Grand Street, Erasmus Hall has been one of the city’s more consistent teams. The Dutchmen are even more dangerous now that they've returned a healthy Shaquell Jackson at running back. He rushed for 177 yards and two TDs in a win over Canarsie on Saturday.

9. Campus Magnet (4-2, LW 10)

Coach Eric Barnett got the big win his Bull-dogs were looking for with a 34-22 road victory over defending PSAL champion Curtis on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how the Bull-dogs respond in the final three weeks of the regular season.

10. Stepinac (6-0, LW NR)

Its 40-0 blanking of Bishop Ford is even more reason to believe that Stepinac is ready for its big challenge against Christ the King on Saturday.

OTHER TEAMS TO KEEP AN EYE ON:

Beach Channel (6-0), Brooklyn Tech (4-2), Christ the King (5-1), Curtis (4-2), Jefferson (5-1), Stevenson (6-1), Susan Wagner (4-2), Truman (5-1).

Rugby league convert Sonny Bill Williams fast-tracked into All Blacks autumn tour squad

Williams, who recently turned down a reported $5 million offer to stay with French club Toulon, has been playing for Canterbury in New Zealand's domestic competition but his selection, so soon after his return home, still comes as a surprise.

All Blacks coach Graham Henry has denied that Williams was given special treatment and insisted that his selection was purely on form.

"We never promised him an All Blacks jersey. He's been selected on form," said Henry. "He made a big decision to come [to New Zealand] because he wanted to be an All Black. He's proved himself in the build-up games to selection that he deserves a place."

Aside from Williams, Henry's 30-man All Blacks squad is vastly experienced, boasting 972 Test caps but there are also places for individuals who missed out during the Tri-Nations, such as openside Daniel Braid, wing Hosea Gear and fly-half Stephen Donald.

Scrum-halves Andy Ellis and Alby Mathewson also received the call after squad regular Piri Weepu broke his leg in a provincial match the night before the announcement.

The All Blacks are currently on a 15-match unbeaten run and need to win their first four games on tour to break the world record of 18 consecutive Test wins held by European minnows Lithuania.

All Blacks squad:

Forwards: John Afoa, Anthony Boric, Daniel Braid, Tom Donnelly, Hikawera Elliot, Ben Franks, Owen Franks, Andrew Hore, Jerome Kaino, Richie McCaw (captain), Keven Mealamu, Liam Messam, Kieran Read, Brad Thorn, Samuel Whitelock, Tony Woodcock.

Backs: Andy Ellis, Daniel Carter, Jimmy Cowan, Stephen Donald, Hosea Gear, Cory Jane, Alby Mathewson, Mils Muliaina, Ma'a Nonu, Josevata Rokocoko, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Conrad Smith, Isaia Toeava, Sonny Bill Williams.

November 6 - All Blacks v England, London
November 13 - All Blacks v Scotland, Edinburgh
