Kurt Warner reaches out to Twitter fans for votes on 'Dancing With The Stars'

With six couples remaining, former NFL star Kurt Warner knows how important every vote is to advance to next week’s round on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars—which is why he’s using Twitter to reach out to as many followers as possible.

Warner reached out to his 63,000+ followers on Twitter, urging them to vote for him and Anna Trebunskaya for their performance of the Tango.

"TANGO! Fans saved us last wk on #DWTS so get in votin' mood early! Need ur support 2nite! 1-800-868-3408, AT&T txt 3408 or abc.com Pls RT!"

With Hall of Fame running back—and former DWTS champion—Emmitt Smith as a guest judge to celebrate the show’s 200th episode, the couple received a combined score of 34 out of 40. Unfortunately, it was the second lowest score of the night—with Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas receiving a score of 33 out of 40.

He asked for his followers to re-tweet his status to help reel in the votes—and they sure did. As of late Monday night, Warner’s message had already been re-tweeted by 81 people—including some of his celebrity friends. Jordin Sparks (671,000+ followers) and Serena Williams (over 1.8 million followers) were both kind enough to re-post the message to their fans as well.

Hopefully, the extra support will help Warner advance to the top five as he looks to continue his run at becoming the second NFL player to win the competition. Along with the numbers listed above, fans can also vote for Kurt and Anna on the DWTS homepage at ABC.com.
