TNA stars Kurt Angle and Jarrett injured at LockDown, Angle responds to critics

On Tuesday morning, TNA superstar Kurt Angle commented on his recent match at TNA's LockDown PPV on Sunday night. Angle wrestler Jeff Jarrett in a "2 out of 3 falls" match inside a steel cage. The match was brutal and bloody. Angle said via his Twitter page that both he and Jarrett suffered injuries during the match.

"We kicked Butt. You need to see my match. Match Of The Year. Me @ Jarrett. What a great match. Jeff broke ribs. I dislocated my shoulder."  He added, "Plez buy Encore. It was so good. I Love You all. U r my friends. It was as good as Me and Shawn Michaels at W-Mania. It is Awesome!!!!"

Initial reports from the PPV were that a few wrestlers were banged up but nothing serious. Angle's comments are revealing but PWInsider.com speculates they could be a "work" to "sell" the brutalities of the match. Jarrett ended up winning the match due to outside interference from his wife Karen Jarrett, the ex-wife of Kurt Angle.

Angle wrestled Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 21 which took place on April 3, 2005 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. The match lasted about 28 minutes long and was highly praised for the efforts of both men. Angle defeated Michaels via submission as HBK tapped out to the Ankle lock.
