Usually this company will be a local company, and quite often, the commercial will be really cheesy, with very poor production. The chances are, this company will have good rates, but the quality of the insurance coverage might not be what you want.
Many times these companies are very new companies without a solid reputation, or a whole lot of financial backing. If they go under, so does your insurance. It is okay to go with the cheapest companies sometimes, but you also want to go with a company that is already somewhat established first.
Some of the larger companies do have some very cheap policies available. But many of these policies don't have effective coverage. You really have to weigh the options that are important to you before you make your final decision.
If you have inadequate car insurance, you never know if you're toying with your life. Cheap policies might not cover you after you have an accident. A good policy will cover you for lost wages, hospital visits, emergency room, medication, car repair or replacement. If your policy is only a few dollars a month, yet doesn't provide you with these things, what are you really paying for?
