Sasha Artemev back on track: Literally. Two years after a car accident that led to the back injury that has almost completely kept him out of competition since Beijing, the U.S.'s best pommel horse worker confirms that yes, he will be back. Artemev competed at Winter Cup last year and warmed up at the Valeri Liukin International earlier this month before withdrawing at the last minute. He's aiming for the 2011 Winter Cup in Las Vegas. Honors for Ali: Jordan's Ali Al Asi, one of the World's most underrated tumblers and vaulters (IMO), has been recognized as Best Arab Athlete of 2010. Well deserved for Ali, who won World Cup gold on rings last spring. (FIG)
Yuri van Gelder greenlighted to return to Dutch team: After a false (but who knows, really?) admission of cocaine usage before the World Championships, Yuri van Gelder's federation is giving him a chance to return -- again. Mustafina, Kaneva make top 10 Russian Athletes list: World all-around champion Aliya Mustafina and rhythmic dynamo Eugenia Kanaeva were voted among the top 10 Russian Athletes of the year by the Russian Sports Journalists Federation. (FIG)
